1. CMAT Registration 2026: Important Dates

2. Documents required for CMAT Registration 2026

CMAT registration process is given below. Candidate should keep the following documents ready before starting to fill CMAT Application Form 2026:
1. Technical Requirements:

  • A computer with proper internet connectivity

2. Personal Identification Details:

  • The particulars of a valid Government ID proof
  • Govt Identity Details like Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits)/Election Card (EPIC No.)/Passport number/Ration Card Number/ Bank Account Number/PAN Number/ Other valid Govt IDs.
  • The Date of Birth (as mentioned in Class X Board Certificate)

3. Educational Qualification:

  • Educational/Qualification details
  • PwD certificate (file size: 50kb to 300kb), if applicable.

4. Digital Documents (Scanned Images):

  • Scanned clear passport photograph in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb) either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background.
  • Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb)

5. Application Preferences:

  • List of Exam City of your choice.   

6. Contact Information:

  • A valid e-mail Id as important communications will be made on this e-mail ID.
  • A valid mobile number as important information via SMS will be sent to this number.

7. Payment Information:

  • Bank account details for payment of fee.
  • A valid debit/credit card or Net banking account for ONLINE payment.

3. CMAT Registration 2026: Overview

CMAT Registration process can be completed only on CMAT official website exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT/ in three simple steps. These steps are given in detail below. Read them carefully and follow them to avoid any errors. 

Remember CMAT registration process will be considered complete only after you have paid the requisite CMAT exam fees, submitted the application and received the confirmation message from National Testing Agency. After submission of CMAT application, you will get confirmation message. You can download and take print of your application only after getting this message.  
 

4. CMAT Registration 2026: Step by Step Guide

CMAT Registration process can be completed by following three simple steps, given below.

Step 1: Visit CMAT Official Website and Apply for Online Registration

Step 2: Fill in the Online Application Form 

Step 3: Pay Fee Online and receive a confirmation from CMAT website

All the 3 Steps can be done together or on separate dates and timings. Let understand these three steps in detail, along with necessary documents required to complete these steps. 

Step 1: Apply for Online Registration
To start your CMAT application process, your first register yourself online. Follow these steps to apply for your online registration. 

Visit CMAT official website exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT/. On this page, click on the ‘Click Here to Register/Login’ link to open CMAT exam registration page. You will be taken to a new page (cmat.ntaonline.in/) to start your CMAT registration process.

On cmat.ntaonline.in/ page, click on green button titled ‘New Candidates Register Here’. You will be taken to new page (cmat.ntaonline.in/registration/index) 

On cmat.ntaonline.in/registration/index page, read the instructions and download ‘CMAT Information Bulletin’. Then, check on check box at the bottom of the page, and press ‘click here to proceed’ button. You will be taken to new page (cmat.ntaonline.in/registration/login-identification)

On cmat.ntaonline.in/registration/login-identification, choose the document (Aadhar Number/ Digilocker Account/ Indian Passport and other options) that you wish to use for authentication purpose. Linking with Aadhar is recommended as for authentication through non-Aadhaar options, you will need to reach Exam Centre 1 hour earlier to get the authentication completed. You will be taken to new page (cmat.ntaonline.in/registration/create) 

On cmat.ntaonline.in/registration/create page, fill in the basic information and note down the system generated Application No. You will be required to enter following information: 
(i) Candidate’s Name/ Mother’s Name/ Father’s Name 
(ii) Date of Birth 
(iii) Mobile Number and e-mail Address 

After successfully submitting your details, you will be received OTP on your email which you need to submit on CMAT website. After submitting OTP you will receive a Registration Verification message, as below. 

Step 2: Fill Online Application Form
After you have successfully registered in step 1 above, you need to login into your account from cmat.ntaonline.in/site/login page by submitting following details (same as provided in step 1 above): 

  • Application No./Email
  • Password
  • Security PIN 

After login, you will be asked to submit some more details such as:

  • Your choice of CMAT Exam centers 
  • Your educational qualifications
  • Your Photograph (check guidelines in a separate section below)
  • Your Signature (check guidelines in a separate section below)

Step 3: Pay Fee Online and receive a Confirmation from CMAT website  
After successfully completing step 1 and 2, pay CMAT Registration & Application fee online through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/e-Challan. CMAT Registration Fee 2026 includes the CMAT Application Fee and CMAT Exam fee. After completing the payment, you will receive a confirmation on CMAT site as well as in your email box. 

After making successful payment of CMAT registration and exam fee, you can download and print the Confirmation Page. After taking these steps, your CMAT registration is complete! 
Important Points to Note:

  • The final submission of Online Application Form will remain incomplete if Step - 2 and Step-3 are not completed, such Application Forms will stand rejected.
  • No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained.
  • The entire application process of CMAT exam registration 2026 is online only. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation page to NTA through Post/Fax/By Hand/E-mail.
  • All the candidates who have submitted the online application and paid the Examination fee till last date will be allowed to appear in CMAT exam, and their Admit Cards will be uploaded on the website as per schedule.

5. CMAT Photograph and Signature Guideline

NTA has issued following CMAT guidelines for candidates regarding uploading correct photograph and signature: 

  • Photograph should not be with cap or goggles. Photograph should cover 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background. 
  • Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly. 
  • Polaroid and Computer-generated photos are not acceptable. 
  • Applications not complying with these instructions or with unclear photographs are liable to be rejected.
  • Application without photograph shall be rejected. 
  • The photograph need not be attested. 
  • Candidates are advised to take 6 to 8 passport size-coloured photographs with white background.
  • Passport size photograph is to be used for uploading on Online Application Form and also for pasting on Attendance Sheet at the Examination centre.
  • The candidate should scan his/her passport size photograph for uploading. File size must be between 10 kb to 200 kb. 
  • The candidate should put his full signature on white paper with Blue/Black Ink pen and scan for uploading. File size must be between 04 kb to 30 kb.

7. CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

Eligibility Criteria for CMAT exam is given below: 

  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. 
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s Degree, whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2026-27, can also apply for CMAT exam. 
  • The candidate must be a citizen of India. 
  • There is no age restriction for appearing in CMAT exam. 

8. CMAT Exam Registration Mistakes to Avoid

Take following steps to avoid mistakes in CMAT registration process:

  • Review Carefully: Check all details on each page (e.g., personal info, DOB, contact) before submitting. Use the 'Edit Registration Form' button to make changes.
  • Flexibility in Filling: You can complete the entire registration and application at once or in separate sessions. Take your time and review all details after some time and only then press submit button.
  • Agree to Declaration: You must confirm the accuracy of your information by clicking 'I Agree' before final submission.
  • Fee Payment Confirmation is Key: Your application is only considered successful upon receipt of the application fee. Check for the confirmation message from NTA.

9. CMAT Registration Error Correction Process

While you must fill form very carefully, in case you have made a mistake, NTA allows you to make some changes after the last date of registration. 

After the last date for submission of CMAT registration form is over, CMAT Application form error correction window will open for a few days. The candidates will be allowed to correct/modify/edit some of the particular(s) of the Application Form online only like photo, exam center. Remember, no personal details can be edited.
